Get the look of natural stone, hardwood, or marble without the high cost. We resurface and stain your existing concrete to create stunning, high-end designs for patios, basements, and commercial spaces.
Is your concrete structurally sound but aesthetically boring? Many homeowners think their only option for a new look is to jackhammer out the old slab and pour a new one—or cover it with expensive tile.
At Cure and Seal, we specialize in concrete resurfacing. We apply high-strength polymer overlays and custom stains directly onto your existing floor. This transforms plain grey cement into a work of art at a fraction of the cost of replacement. Whether you want a rustic "wood look" concrete patio or a modern acid-stained basement, we turn your concrete into a canvas.
1. Stamped Concrete Overlays
The Look of Stone, Slate, or Brick. We apply a thin layer of high-strength polymer cement (1/4" to 3/8" thick) over your existing slab and stamp it with texture mats.
The Result: A realistic texture that mimics flagstone, slate, or cobblestone.
Best For: Patio resurfacing, driveways, and front entryways.
2. Acid & Water-Based Staining
The "Marbleized" Look. Concrete staining is not paint; it’s a chemical reaction that permanently changes the color of the concrete.
Acid Stains: React with the minerals in the concrete to create rich, earth-toned, variegated effects (translucent browns, reddish-browns, and greens).
Water-Based Stains: Offer a wider color palette and a more consistent, vibrant look.
Best For: Interior concrete floors, basements, and commercial showrooms.
3. "Wood Look" Concrete
The Durability of Concrete, The Warmth of Wood. Using a combination of specialized taping systems, overlays, and stains, we create a surface that looks exactly like plank flooring.
The Benefit: Unlike real wood, this won't rot, warp, or get eaten by termites. It is perfect for outdoor patios where real wood decking fails.
Best For: Outdoor patios, pool decks, and rustic basements.
4. Spray Deck (Knockdown Finish)
The Cool-Touch Pool Solution. A textured overlay that is sprayed on and troweled down to create a non-slip surface.
The Benefit: It stays significantly cooler under bare feet than regular concrete or stone.
Best For: Pool deck resurfacing and large commercial walkways.
Branding & Durability for Business.
For restaurants, retail stores, and offices, decorative concrete offers the perfect balance of style and durability.
Custom Logos: We can embed your company logo directly into the floor using stencils and epoxy/stain.
High Traffic Ready: Our sealers are designed to withstand thousands of footsteps a day without wearing down.
Low Maintenance: No grout lines to scrub, no waxing required. Just a simple mop and occasional reseal.
Cost Savings
Resurfacing is typically 30-50% cheaper than tearing out old concrete and pouring new decorative slabs.
Speed
Most overlay and staining projects are completed in 2-4 days. Tearing out and repouring can take weeks to cure.
Strength
Our polymer-modified overlays are actually stronger (PSI) than standard concrete, providing a durable wear surface that resists salt and abrasion.
[Blurb]
Most stamped overlays are 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch thick. Thin-coat spray textures are even thinner (1/8 inch). This means we can usually resurface your floor without creating major height issues with your doors.
If your existing slab has major structural cracks, those cracks can "telegraph" (mirror) through the overlay. We always repair cracks first, but we may recommend concrete lifting or stabilization if the slab is moving before we apply a decorative finish.
Like tile or stone, concrete can be cool to the touch. However, it has high thermal mass. In basements, many clients use area rugs or install the finish over radiant floor heating systems for maximum comfort.
